'DARIUS AND THE BLOODY BIG FISH' takes the BISCUIT

Good news is that my story 'Darius and the Bloody Big Fish' has just won this year's Biscuit Prize for a short story. This story began life as a 300 word flash in response to a prompt on Sarah Salway's 'Your Messages' challenge in November 2008. Then it grew into a larger fish tale - as fish tales do when the fisherman tells it!!

Thanks, Douglas - and I'll still be after a signed copy of The Chess Piece Magician come September.

It would, of course, be my pleasure. Your support and encouragement are such a boon to me just now.

Congratulations yet again, Douglas. I'd love to read the story. Keep cultivating that imagery.

Thanks Sandy. I appreciate you dropping by again. The story will be published by BISCUIT later this year. In the meantime you can get a flavour of the piece from my original flash fiction version on Sarah Salway's 'Your Messages' site... I think my flash was in response to a prompt from around 25th Novemeber 2008.

Best
